The object of this project is
to provide reliable, economic access a recently developed
tide and current meter located below the 2nd Narrows
Railroad Bridge. The primary information display will be
in the Vancouver Port Authority, Harbour Master's Office
at Granville Square (200 Granville Street).
To reduce the distance of the radio
link and the likelihood of future radio interference, the
existing, private fiber-optic network, that terminates on
Commissioner Street, will be used.
This will be a joint venture
undertaking between CoastWorks Internet of Sidney, BC and
Fairview Broadband Wireless of Vancouver, BC. The
proposed Installation will commence on the bridge
Thursday July 5, 2001 with project completion before
August 15, 2001.
